Emotional stress can contribute to the onset and course of abnormal behaviors as well as genetically predisposed conditions such as atopic dermatitis and stress related gastritis, colitis, and cystitis. Identifying and alleviating sources of stress can improve medical symptoms in certain cases and represents a higher standard of care for these stress related conditions. Rolan Tripp, DVM, CABC has developed a diagnostic test for veterinary practices that uses behavioral findings to identify and measure pet stress, recommended at the pet’s annual exam (an emotional wellness screening) and to any medical case involving the skin, stomach, colon or bladder.
There is no cost to the practice. The veterinary hospital completes a one page, one time registration form. The link will be sent to your email.
