Pet Behavior History Analysis

The goal of the "Pet Behavior History Analysis" is to collect a comprehensive pet behavior history and provide useful recommendations on how to proceed. A Veterinary Behavior Consultant coordinates all behavioral recommendations with the pet's veterinarian.

The pet parent completes the pet behavioral history online from home. The assigned Behavior Consultant reviews the Analysis and recommendations with the client by phone or virtual consult via Zoom and results are sent to the pet's veterinarian. Our goal is to keep the pet in the veterinary practice by providing behavior education support and services.


The Analysis provides the following:


1) Probable motivation and explanation for the pet's behaviors
2) The prognosis (0 - 90%) for improvement - the ease of teaching the pet new behaviors and phasing out problem behaviors.
3) A timeline estimate of indicated behavior modification to be implemented by the family with phone and email coaching.
4) Whether or not additional private training or classes are indicated.
5) A fee estimate for a behavioral treatment plan.
6) Recommended medical procedures and/or medications indicated - to receive from the pet's veterinarian
7) A list of any products that might be helpful in the behavior modification program.
8) Recommended education includes topics to read, power points, and/or video presentations to view.



The Pet Behavior History Analysis also includes one year of additional behavior education through online library access.
