Correcting Pet Behavior Problems

• Complete Checklist 02 - Team Orientation

• Read, Steps for Helping Pet Parents with Pet Behavior Issues

• Review and Print a Master Copy of the Request a Pet Behavior History Analysis.  Keep one Master Copy in a folder that everyone can easily use.  Mark back with yellow highlighter - MASTER COPY.

• Photocopy enough forms to place a week's worth in every exam room, lobby and any where else that will help remind the team to ask if client has any pet behavior concerns. Goal is to ask EVERY client about their pet's behavior then either enroll them in the Pet Parenting ECourse if no issues; or recommend the Pet Behavior History Analysis if any concerns.

• Make sure team members understand how to call or fax a request to contact client about new available behavior services at 1-800-372-3706

Team Member Education

• Becoming a Pet Centered Practice ECourse - Each month the "ELesson" needs to be reviewed, evaluated, and implemented as the "Mission of the Month." Some locations set up all team members to receive this monthly ECourse. Other ABCs forward this email to key people. While others use the ELesson as a reminder to customize their team behavior training goals for the month.
