Getting Started Day Eight - Puppy Brain Development

Puppy brain development is critically influenced by what the puppy learns and experiences in the first few months of life. You can make a significant difference in your dog's personality and social skills if you learn how to make EVERY day count!

1.  Enroll Puppy in an off-leash puppy socialization class between 9 weeks and 12 weeks of age, or as soon as possible in a reputable, gentle-methods training class.

2.  Put Puppy in a reputable daycare program for 3 days each week from 10 weeks to 20 weeks of age, then 1 day each week (minimum) for Puppy's first year.

3.  Complete the puppy socialization checklist provided to help Puppy learn about the human world with confidence and positive associations to prevent adult dog fearfulness.
