Getting Started - Bowls are Out - Food Puzzles are In!

In the wild, felines spend much of their time foraging and hunting for food. Feeding cats from a food bowl takes away this natural enriching mental stimulation and healthy physical exercise.

Giving kitten a "food puzzle" instead of bowl feeding puts the spice back into life for kitten.  Cats work mentally and physically trying to get the food from the puzzle.

Indoor cats need something to do besides sleeping the day away while their people are gone. Hunger motivates kitten to interact with the puzzle.

Vary the puzzles to keep them interesting. Increase difficulty for treats inside puzzles. Vary the combinations of food inside puzzles daily.  Add even more adventure to your cats day by hiding kibbles in small bowls around the house.

You can make your own food puzzles using paper towel roles, PVC pipe or other improvisations.  Hide toys or kibble inside an empty Kleenex box and change the location daily. Your cats fun is only limited by your imagination!!
