Getting Started Day Six - Whose Toy Is It?

Here are two common mistakes people make with new puppies that create adult dog problems such as destructive chewing, digging, food bowl aggression, and hyperactivity.

1.  They allow the pup to chew on old shoes and socks – thinking the pup can tell the difference between an old and valued human possession, and allow destruction of toys.

2.  They play tug-of-war games with the new pup and think the pup's growling is cute.

3.  They don't realize why the pup isn't learning or why humans should make the rules of the game.
