Offer any puppy one cookie
for a SIT for
greeting

During play, when I ask, have your dog come from
play, sit, touch his or her
collar and release. This teaches your dog that COME does not always
end play. You can also use this
at home and other places.

Remember the purpose
of the puppy party
is to increase the
confidence of the shy dogs and
decrease the confidence of the
alpha dogs, bringing them to a
center point. So people be boring.
Reward proper play
and good puppy
manners
Interrupt
any
unwanted
behaviors and redirect
the dog towards another
dog.

Demo: HEEL
command, Retractable lead
Take a piece of food for a lure in the left hand and
several pieces in the right
hand.

Wiggle the fingers
of the left hand,
slap your side to keep
the pups attention on
you
-
Walk
quickly and say HEEL
to
keep the pups interest.

Do right and
left turns (slow turns so that
the puppy keeps up).
-
Occasionally
say SIT using the right hand
to signal and give a food reward.

Make it fun.
A toy may be
used in place of food, especially
if the food makes the pup to
excited

Pass to neighbor ask for a sit, then reward when
completSuspension and cradling with neWhen instructed, pass your puppy to the left, and
start over with a new Go slowly.

too stressed, just hold
it until it relaxes, give

leash without pulling or
dragging.

and encourage your dog
to walk.

dragging ahead say EASY,
then giving a short
collar correction and
turn to a new direction.

Every dog
should go for a leashed
walk every day.

Keep praising
appropriate
walking, and try
to give 5
praises for
every correction.
