Dr.
Krebsbach has always had a passion for
animals, but her initial career path
did not lead her to veterinary medicine.
After graduation from the University
of Wisconsin in 1983 with a Bachelor
of Science in Industrial Engineering,
she started out as a Systems Engineer
for the IBM Corporation. As her career
blossomed at IBM, she was promoted to
the level of Advisory Marketing Representative,
where she enjoyed much success in the
world of computers. After receiving
many awards for her marketing achievements,
in 1989 she was recognized as one of
the top 5% marketing representatives
in the country. Although IBM was a wonderful
company to work for and she enjoyed
professional success there, she heard
another calling: veterinary medicine.
Dr.
Krebsbach decided to turn in her briefcase
for books and started veterinary school
at The Ohio State University in 1991.
She felt that this would provide a perfect
opportunity to capture her passion for
animals and encompass her business background.
After graduation in 1995, Dr. Krebsbach
worked as a small animal general practitioner
for many years. During this time, her
interest in and experience with animal
behavior intensified. Over the past
five and a half years, she has increased
her knowledge and experience immensely
through performing behavior consults,
continuing education, and participation
in the American Veterinary Society of
Animal Behavior (AVSAB). Because she
feels that there is such a tremendous
need to address the issue of animal
behavior problems and how to prevent
them, she concentrates the majority
of her efforts in this area.
Dr.
Krebsbach operates a veterinary animal
behavior consulting service, is a featured
speaker at the University of Wisconsin
School of Veterinary Medicine, writes
an animal behavior series, and author
of several articles on animal behavior.
She is currently the vice-president
for the Dane County Veterinary Medical
Association. In addition, she has volunteered
her services to several animal rescue
organizations and has been recognized
for her efforts, including the "Medical
Services Volunteer of the Year"
award from the Dane County Humane Society
and the "Outstanding Service Award"
from the Capitol Area Humane Society.
Dr.
Krebsbach is truly dedicated to the
enhancement of the special relationship
that exists between pets and their people.
